Wow what a day!

We had SO MUCH going on today.... getting ready for chicks tomorrow.. weeding...finding a rabbit (seriously!).... a mystery picture... mom starts planting... etc.

See this step.. yea..

it's NOT sturdy! Ha ha I steped on it and lost my balance and I was coming from the barn carrying eggs and they went all over! ;-) Oh, well I guess i can say I'm a REALY chicken farmer!

We also found a friend! I'm not sure if it's a pet or wild but i can get about 5 ft. away from it and it LOVES to eat! I think it's SO cute!

We also found a plant in the compost pile.. not sure what it is... we think it might be rhubarb
What do you think?

The plant is HUGE! This is one leaf!

While we were seting up for chicks tomorrow we found a GIGANTIC frog!
Mom started some lettuce, kale, and green bean seeds today

I just went out and found the rabbit by the chickens.. :-) he/she is SO CUTE!

here's a mystery picture for ya'll.. Any guesses?

We also got the Homestead Blessing series! I love so far.. we just watched The art of Gardening
It was GREAT!

Good night!

That plant definitely looks like Rhubarb! As for the mystery pic...I'm not sure...is it the speckled floor in the laundry room? No, that's not it! Wow, I can't give a very good guess! Your getting good at this Jenn! : )

Yes, we think the plant IS rhubarb and the last mystery picture was mini M&M's in ice cream.

Can't wait to see you Nana!

Um Jenn, I'm sorry to disappoint you but that plant is NOT rhubarb! It is burdock. We have them growing all over up here. See how the stems are kind of fuzzy and more green then red? And the red is actually more purple. Rhubarb leaves are smooth whereas burdock leaves have a bit more of a fuzzy texture. I love identifying wild plants!!

Oh no! Too bad all those eggs got cracked! Although the pic you posted almost made me laugh :D sorry!

That rabbit is cute! Must be someone's pet that got away because it is not the color of a wild rabbit. Maybe you can catch it!

That toad IS really big I always like those :) I'm sure Allison liked it too!

Isn't it fun planting seeds? I so enjoy it!

Hmm. . . tough M.P. Is it dirt on the counter from when you were planting seeds?

Hi Jenn,
I thought of a way you could catch the rabbit. You could find where it is sleeping and catch it then.
I think the picture is very funny about the eggs. The same thing has happened to me.
I think the mystery picture is:
The table that the seeds are on.
Or a counter top or some type of table.

Hum... I'll have to go back out and look at the plant again. (you probably know more about plants than I do!)

About the rabbit we think some one got one for Easter and they just let him go. Mom saw a black one as well and I'm hoping to catch it! I LOVE rabbits!

Nathanael~ We have some guesses of where he/she IT is sleeping but were not sure.

1. There is one spot in a BIG pile of old sticks that he/she IT went buy

2. Also there is a hole about the size of the rabbit under/beside our barn that he/she IT might have dug.
I may make a blog post about that! Hum..! :-)

If you have any more ideas I would love to hear them!

Thanks for all the comments!
