What I'm up to....

Mom gave Slurpee a haircut this morning...

Before picture....

And I tried to get a After picture, but he had other plans.....

My mom's aunt let us barrow her violin... I've been trying to learn it, and so far I can play amazing grace! :-)
I LOVE this instrument!

We also had a kit of how to spin wool ( or whatever I'm spinning! ) :-)

It's not a very good spindle but it's all I have! I'm not doing TO bad...

... for the first time! :-)

We also have 3 bags of dirty wool that needs to be cleaned...

...that we go it from a friend. I don't know why we got all of this..but mom said I'd better get working on that drop spindle! :-) Ha ha

Well, that's all for today! Hope your having a good day! I've got to get back to school!

Awe! Tell Slurpee I like his haircut!
You must be having a ton o' fun with that fiddle! I love playing the fiddle but I don't get much time to practice because I don't have one :(
It looks like you are doing well on the spindle! Spinning is such a fun thing to do. I have to say, I don't have it very well practiced on a spindle, but I love doing it on a wheel. Nathanael likes spinning on both and he can do it better than I can on a spindle.
You sure do have quite a bit of wool to practice with! David just sheared our sheep so we have alot of fleeces also. What kind of sheep did that wool come from?
I am having a good day- have fun with your school!

Hi Jenn,
How exciting that you are working with wool! If you can get it all spun up it works good for felting and making pillows.
My bow broke a few weeks ago so I have not been able to play my violin. I Hope to get a new one soon or have daddy fix the broken one. Maybe when you come up next or we come down there we can play together. My favorite songs to play are Be Thou My Vision, Amazing Grace and I Saw The Light.
Slurpee's new hair cut is looks great!
have a good day my friend
