The little hen are so fun! I love them. We have a big wood chip pile for the MB (meat birds) bedding. Well we now have the LH (Little Hens) in part of the MB side of the barn. They LOVE to roost! So they hop up on the wall (that separates part of the room for them), and jump over into the bigger area where the pile is. They didn't know it was there until one hen ( the bully of them all) started to climb up to the top...then another hen started and pretty soon there was about six hen scratching it all up and having a BLAST!!! One hen even started to take a dust bath! ha ha :) I like to talk to them and I have friend that follows me around and comes to me if I say hello! The BHs ( big hens)are doing fine. They are noisy as EVER! He he , Laying lots of eggs and flying a lot.
The MBs are.....well.....um.......I guess you could say.....the 're doing fine..um they are stinky and....ugly...and dirty. I think that covers it all. What's that you say? NO they are not nice...and YES I do talk to them but it's mostly about how they...Just scratched me or I'm trying to get them of the feeder.
I'll try to post pictures when dad gets back he took the camera. HE He he..

I think/know the MB are crowded! They'll need to move out soon! :-)
Well, those meat birds do NOT sound enjoyable now! I know they'll be more enjoyable coming out of the oven.
