This year I had the wonderful opportunity to join with fellow church members and share to gospel to kids. With crafts, games, and Bible stories, we were able to share " The 7 C's of History" (creation, corruption, catastrophe, confusion, Christ, cross, and consummation).
I can't begin to express how much I enjoyed acting out the daily story, and helping the kids put their craft together. But the best part is watching the bonds between you and the kids grow! Having a couple little girls who want to stand next to you during the singing, (I was playing guitar and had to make sure I knew where they were, or else I would accidentally hit them while strumming!) or sit in your lap during story time, are the treasures that I want hold on to forever! :)

The forth day, which was the last, was a day of mixed emotions... half of you was glad it's over because you're exhausted, but the other half loves to kids so much you don't want to leave! That day we passed out Bibles to everyone and I had to most precious few minutes with a young girl. She had gotten her bible and came up to me and asked, "What were the numbers of what we said the first day?." It took me a while to figure out she was talking about the memory verses they been learning. I told her the scripture reference and got to show her how to to look it up. Then she walked away reading it to herself, and a just a few seconds later she came back and told me, "This isn't the same thing... they changed the bible." I thought to my self, 'Ok, so... I have to figure out how to tell this 9 yr. old girl... they didn't change the bible, you just memorized a different version of the bible
. How in the world am I going to explain this to her?!' Only by God's grace, was I able to explain to her how the Bible wasn't always in English (she immediately gave me a funny look when I told her that! ha ha) and that there are different translations of the Bible. She seemed satisfied with my explanation and walked away. I pray that even if she didn't get all of what I was saying, she would still have as much interest and excitement about the Bible that she had that day and keep reading it!
Even as we walked to the car I missed them already... I was practically in tears on the way home! I hope to see them sometime before next year, but until then I'll keep praying that God does a work in their hearts and that He would use me in anyway to do His work!! I would encourage anyone who has an opportunity to spread the love of God, whether it's in your own city or across the world, to take it and trust that God will open hearts in His timing!!
